Software

The group has developed several software packages for the design of photonic crystal devices.

These include a tool for the 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional simulation of slow-light photonic crystal waveguides using the MIT Plane-wave Bandsolver (MPB) and an optimization algorithm for slow-light photonic crystal waveguides (based on 2-dimensional effective period method simulations), also based on MPB.

These tools can all be found on Dr Schulz’s github account.
